PURYN (“we”, “us”) makes water purifiers, softeners and filtration systems, and operates the website puryn.in, the PURYN mobile app, and WhatsApp-based customer support. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have. It applies to the website and the app together.
Information we collect
Account & contact details
When you create an account (in the app or by activating a warranty on our website) we collect your name, mobile/WhatsApp number, email address, address and pincode. Technicians may additionally provide a company name, profile photo, business-card details and a UPI ID (used only to pay installation rewards).
Product & warranty data
When a purifier is installed or registered we record the unit’s QR sticker code, product model, installation date and warranty period, linked to your account.
Photos, camera & location
The app uses the camera to scan purifier QR stickers and, for technicians, to take an installation selfie as proof of work. Technician installation submissions may include the device location at the time of submission, used to verify genuine installations. The website’s warranty page can use your camera solely to scan a QR sticker — the video never leaves your device.
Microphone
Sales and staff users can record short voice notes (for example to capture a lead after a call). These recordings are transcribed by an AI service and stored as text notes.
Purchases & support
When you buy from puryn.in we collect your order and billing details. We never see or store your card, UPI or banking credentials — payments are handled by our payment providers. Support conversations (service tickets, WhatsApp messages, and chats with Droppy, our website assistant) are kept so we can help you.
How we use information
- To deliver, install and service your purifier, and to honour your warranty.
- To schedule installations and send reminders (for example filter-change reminders).
- To verify and reward technician installations.
- To respond to enquiries and provide quotations you request.
- To improve our products and website. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
Where your data lives & who we share it with
App and warranty data is stored with Supabase (hosted on AWS, Sydney region). The website is hosted by Hostinger. Limited data is processed by service providers strictly to run our services: Google (Gemini) for AI transcription and assistant replies, WhatsApp when you choose to message us there, and our payment providers for purchases. Each provider processes data only on our instructions. We share data with authorities only if the law requires it.
Retention
We keep account and warranty records for as long as your account is active or your warranty (and any legal obligation) requires. Voice notes are kept only as transcribed text notes once processed.
Delete your account & data
You can request deletion of your PURYN account and associated personal data at any time:
- WhatsApp us at +91 90718 01000 from your registered number, or
- Email info@puryn.in from your registered email,
with the message “Delete my account”. We verify the request and delete your account and personal data within 30 days, except records we must keep by law (for example tax invoices).
Your choices
- Camera, location and microphone permissions are optional — the app asks before first use and you can revoke them in your device settings (some features, like QR scanning, won’t work without them).
- You can ask us to correct your details at any time.
- Our services are intended for adults; we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Security
Data is transmitted over HTTPS and protected by role-based access controls — customers see only their own records, and technician, sales and admin roles each see only what their job requires.
